The mission of the Pagnozzi Parker Charities Youth Sports Assistance Program is to open the door of athletic experience to disadvantaged youth. Our goal is to advance the well-being of these youth by giving them the same opportunity as their peers and introducing them to positive life experiences.
In order to fulfill our mission, we provide assistance to underprivileged youth (K-8th grade) in Northwest Arkansas to enable them to participate in recreational sports activities alongside their peers. Assistance can be monetary - assisting with sports registration fees, or by providing them with the equipment necessary to participate in their sport of choice. Families who qualify for our assistance must meet the same guidelines as the free or reduced lunch program in Arkansas schools.
We believe participation in sports is important for all children but especially those who fall into the underprivileged category. Sports provide an activity after school to look forwards as well as positive role models, and skills such as team work, leadership, and accountability. In 2022, we were able to assist 1,000 children in the Northwest Arkansas area. We hope to assist 1,500 children in 2023.
