Palomares Elementary is known to support our communities of Hayward, San Leandro, Oakland and San Lorenzo as being a great school with a science-based approach to learning. Palomares Elementary is the main campus that welcomes intra-district transfer education to students from neighboring cities who wish for a more robust curriculum focusing on the whole child, with a well supported instructor-to-student ratio.
Palomares Elementary also supports the entire community of Castro Valley by offering inter-district transfers for families who wish their children have a more well-rounded education with smaller classes, in the most idyllic and inspiring setting, surrounded by nature and under a canopy of majestic trees. For decades, Palomares has hosted many neighboring schools to their campus to learn about the unique qualities of our Eastbay California environmental surroundings during their Annual Watershed Festival. They are also in the first stages of building a Monarch Butterfly walk through Nursery where they will continue to welcome all students to experience, share, and learn on-site.
