Our mission at PanCAN is to take bold action to improve the lives of everyone impacted by pancreatic cancer by advancing scientific research, building community, sharing knowledge, and advocating for patients. 

Here is a little bit of information about our signature event PurpleStide:

Local action. Nationwide impact. This is PanCAN PurpleStride, the ultimate walk to end pancreatic cancer!

On April 27, 2024, pancreatic cancer survivors, families, caregivers, researchers, and supporters will take steps together at 57 PurpleStride events across the nation to honor everyone affected by the disease. It’s an inspirational day to celebrate survivors, honor those we lost and turn the nation purple!  It will be hosted in Treaty Oak Park in downtown Jacksonville. We can't increase survival without making bigger investments in research and patient services. While we have more than doubled the 5-year survival rate over the last 20 years, it remains a dismal 12%. PurpleStride is the cornerstone of our fundraising, representing 40% of our annual revenue. Funds raised at PurpleStride fuel life-changing research, critical patient programs and services and amplify our mission to improve patient outcomes.
