Park Spanish Immersion Public Elementary School (PSI) has been providing Spanish immersion education for St. Louis Park students for over 25 years. Our mission is to promote academic excellence, intellectual curiosity, cultural understanding and bilingualism in Spanish and English, while also involving the family and community in the development of lifelong learning.
One of the main purposes of our school's PTO is to raise funds for our Amity Intern Program. Amity interns (Spanish-speaking individuals pursuing a career in education) come from all over the world and work in PSI classrooms each and every day. These young adults play an important role in our mission. However, PSI does not receive school district funding to support this program. Rather, the PSI Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) funds the Amity Program.
