The primary purpose of the Parker Road PTO is to raise funds and plan social events for the Parker Road community of children, families, teachers and staff.

The PTO utilizes funds to provide curriculum materials, programming, and enrichment opportunities that are not included in the general school budget. These much-needed resources are only possible because of generous giving from the families at Parker Road and Wesleyan Terrace. During the school year the PTO welcomes fund requests from teachers, for specific classroom materials that enhance their teaching. Technology purchases represent a growing need for our PTO as teaching methods more often incorporate tools such as Ipads. All expenditures in excess of $100 must be voted upon by members of the PTO at general meetings.

In addition to providing teaching materials and special programs, the PTO coordinates frequent hospitality events for teachers and staff, organizes room parents and parent volunteers for ongoing classroom support, and oversees general maintenance and upkeep of the playgrounds. It is the goal of the Parker Road PTO to use all funds generated by our efforts to enhance the experiences being offered to students at the preschool.
