Pathways to Care, a not-for-profit, 501 (c)(3) licensed Assisted Living Facility in Casselberry, provides medical respite to people experiencing homelessness. These are folks who require a safe and supportive place to recover from a serious disease, injury, or medical setback. Residents living at Pathways to Care are offered three square meals a day, daily therapeutic activities, transportation to and from their medical appointments and case management to assist residents with obtaining permanent housing and other benefits that will allow them a higher likelihood of returning to an independent lifestyle. Without our care, these men and women would end up being discharged from the hospital and expected to recover from their specific ailment while being exposed to the elements out on our Central Florida streets.
