As the region’s leading provider of gender-responsive, trauma-informed drug and alcohol services, POWER helps women build a strong foundation to sustain their recovery. We provide a continuum of care designed to address a woman’s total wellness, including her physical and mental health.

The Purple Party is Pittsburgh’s only giant sober celebration. Last year, the event sold out as 400 people donned purple attire and came out to celebrate recovery. For over 32 years, POWER has been providing drug and alcohol treatment to women in our region. We serve over 1400 people a year through our full continuum of trauma-informed care. The Purple Party raises funds so that POWER can continue this life-saving work. Whether you are a sober supporter, sober curious, or sober celebrating, the Purple Party is for you! Join us on the Purple Carpet at Rockwell Park to kick off a night filled with dancing, delicious food, creative mocktails, auction and raffle items, and fun photo ops. We will also recognize three of our fantastic alums and present Union Baptist Church with the Seeds of Hope award for the many hours of volunteer time its members have donated to help POWER women.
