The Phoenix Association of the Deaf (PAD) was founded in 1947. It was non-profit organization for, of, and by Deaf and Hard of Hearing members. The Deaf Community is considered a minority, a culture where they have communication accessibility without any struggles, oppressions, or barriers.
In addition, PAD offers a place where the deaf and hard of hearing members and guests can socialize peacefully; improve quaity of life for themselves and others. People who can communicate in American Sign Language other than English Speaking are welcome.
PAD offers children programs, Senior Citizens Activities Center, organizations of, for, and by Deaf as an organziation membership.
