The Annual PINK Breast Cancer Awareness Softball Tournament. The tournament, open to various youth aged fast pitch softball teams, with approximately 1300 players in total from the Delaware Valley and Tri-State area, aims to generate monetary support as well as local community Breast Cancer Awareness & Research while progressing the sport of softball. In the first sixteen years, the tournament has raised and donated over $1 Million for the Susan G. Komen Central & South NJ affiliate and the YWCA Princeton Breast Cancer Resource Center. The tournament fundraising goal is to exceed $50,000 in donations. The youth portion of the tournament will be a one day, three game guarantee format with a minimum donation requirement per team of $250. Teams are encouraged to fundraise additional donations beyond the required entry fee using softball skill drills or events to continue to improve their own individual and team achievements. Teams in each age group (8U, 10U, 12U, 14U, 16U and 18U) will be awarded prizes for Top Fundraising Team.
In an effort to keep tournament costs at a minimum, umpires, local vendors, sponsors and community members are being asked to donate services, goods and volunteer efforts to help to raise funds for and to help support Breast Cancer Research and Awareness.
We also hold a Pink Party in October for adults 21+ with dancing, dinner & raffles with approximately 300 guests.
All proceeds from both events go to help raise awareness & research for breast cancer. The more products & items we have to raffle the more we can fundraise for this great cause!
