Pioneer High School is a unique public school with an award-winning arts program, including three-string and three-wind ensembles, all under the direction of Ms. Lara Levy.
Those music classes are offered as electives to all students, who are provided with music education, a loaned instrument, and its accessories, and sheet music free of charge.
Throughout the year, the Pioneer Concert, Wind Ensemble, Jazz Band, and our String & Chamber Orchestras perform at school concerts, football games, and
academic assemblies. In addition, some of these groups perform at many community events throughout the year. Some of these venues include Santa Cruz Jazz Festivals, competitions in conjunction with Disneyland, and California Music Education Association Festivals. We are proud of our school’s commitment to providing an excellent and well-rounded education.
The Pioneer High School Band & Orchestra program would like to request your help to raise funds that will cover the yearly cost of educational supplies and equipment as well as part or all the cost of overnight trips.
