For over two decades, we have been dedicated to offering a safe haven for at-risk teens who have endured mental, physical, and sexual abuse, sexual trafficking and unimaginable neglect. These courageous youth, burdened with posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) due to their past experiences, have found solace within our homes, away from their families, where they can embark on a healing journey.

Our comprehensive program embraces a multi-faceted approach to healing. We provide lots of individual and group psychotherapy, along with innovative therapies such as equine, music, and art, to help them address their emotions; in-house tutoring and educational enhancement programs to help bring them up to speed academically; life skills, cultural enhancement services and recreational outings such as fishing, camping, hiking and attending the theatre; and professional sporting events to cultivate social skills, and to allow them to just be kids.

Although we rely on support throughout the year, the holidays are a particularly challenging time for our youth. Despite the suffering that they have experienced at the hands of their family, it is the only family that they have known, and being away from them during this period is extremely difficult. We, consequently, take special care to make the holiday period a truly memorable and magical time in their lives, filled with joy, special Christmas dinners, lots of presents and a multitude of activities; ranging from snow-boarding and skiing, to attending the theatre, beach excursions and lots of love. We cannot replace their families, but we can show them that they are cherished and hold a special place in our hearts.
