For more than 50 years, Plano Child Development Center (Plano) a 501 (c)3 not-for-profit corporation has been meeting the needs of patients with visually related learning difficulties across the Chicago metropolitan area. Plano has been true to its mission of identifying, evaluating and treating educationally and financially disadvantaged children who suffer from having an under-developed and/or inefficient vision information processing system. As a result of poor vision skills, this diagnosis often results in decreased academic performance, lack of self-esteem, and poor eye hand communication.

Thus, our purpose is to provide comprehensive vision care services through the identification, evaluation and treatment of vision-related problems in our patients, ultimately enhancing their ability to achieve success both in and out of the classroom.
