Evertone knows someone who has been diagnosed cancer and for me, that person is my mom. Two years ago she underwent a mastectomy to essentially save her life. During her recovery, she was gifted a zip up sweatshirt that had pockets sewn on the inside. It was her saving grace during the recovery process. The pockets held the VERY uncomfortable drainage tubes that are put into place for weeks, sometimes months, following surgery. I saw online some were selling for over $70 and I just thought that anyone going through what my mom went through should never have to purchase something as an added cost of cancer just to stay comfortable. So I started making and donating my own. Since 2022, myself along with my two friends and so many volunteers, we have made and donated over 9,000 women all over the world.
