Positive Living Niagara is a non-profit organization committed to creating a community that accepts and supports those at risk and affected by HIV, HCV, STBBIs and substance use. We do this through offering a variety of supports and prevention programs as well as providing extensive education to the community.

We assist those struggling with HIV, HCV, STBBIs and substance use to access proper health care supports, cover the costs of medications, health care equipment and encourage them to maintain their social ties. In these unprecedented times, the need in our community is more overwhelming than ever. There are more than 26,000 people living with HIV/AIDS in Ontario and it is further estimated that 30% of people who are HIV+ are not aware of their status. We believe there are over 500 people living with and affected by HIV in the Niagara region. The agency also supports people who struggle with addictions and at risk of acquiring HIV and/or Hep C. This vulnerable population receives our harm reduction supplies and supports to access treatment. Overdose deaths are prevented by our training on and distribution of Naloxone.
