Ambassadors make connections with all new students as they enter the school. While we service the entire school population, currently at 1,250 students, we are trained to especially cater to our military population as their circumstances can be more difficult. New students who enter our school are matched with an Ambassador who will provide them with an extensive tour, ensure that they don't eat lunch alone, and provide peer support for the first two weeks or more of their transitioning period.
Additionally, Ambassadors collaborate with other leadership groups, such as our administration team, guidance department, No Place For Hate, National Junior Honor Society, Student Council Association, and Future Leader Squad to promote a healthy, positive, fun, and engaging climate within our school by hosting and supporting various events such as: Open House, Back-to-School Nights, Socktober, Career Fair, Multicultural Fair, dances, conferences, and other family events. Our program has become an intregral part of our school and has influenced others schools in our district to adopt our practice.
