Pratt Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is a Minnesota non-profit organization that supports Pratt Elementary School, one of the Minneapolis Public Schools and located in the Prospect Park neighborhood. Our mission is to develop and support a connected community of Pratt parents, teachers and students through community events and enrichment opportunities.
Pratt is a special place. It is a small elementary school located in southeast Minneapolis and has served the surrounding area since 1898. It is the oldest Minneapolis School still in operation, with a beautiful, historic building. Pratt is a Title I school, with 75% of the school population qualifying for free and reduced lunch. We are proud to be an inclusive place where a diverse group of students—including a large immigrant and refugee community—can thrive.
Pratt PTO will use these funds to ensure that:
- We can fund the annual artist in residence program to provide music education
- All kids can go on educational field trips
- We continue to meet basic needs for kids (especially immigrant and refugee families)
- Teachers have the classroom supplies they too often have to purchase themselves
