The Prince George Alliance for Education Foundation, Inc., was created to fund programs and projects for the benefit of the school division.

The Foundation is an opportunity for you to invest in today’s youth, tomorrow’s leaders, and the future of Prince George County. These tax-deductible donations will be used to provide opportunities for students and staff that otherwise might not be possible.

The Foundation belongs to the community and is supported by the community on the premise that EVERY CHILD NEEDS A STRONG FOUNDATION.

The Foundation operates independently of the Prince George County Public Schools, supporting the mission and objectives of the school division.

The Foundation is managed by a Board of Directors, which includes business partners of local and surrounding communities.


How are the funds being used?

The money raised by the Foundation is being used to meet a variety of needs in our local schools, including but not limited to:

·         Teacher Mini Grants

·         Classroom Mini Grants

·         Student Leadership Grants

·         Technology Equipment

·         Support for a specific school or program

·         Student scholarships

How will the funds be raised?

Financial opportunities to support the Foundation originate from Prince George alumni and parents, businesses, civic groups, and churches are available in a variety of ways to include:

·         Auctions

·         United Way

·         One-time donations

·         Bequeaths / wills

·         Endowments

·         Memorials

·         Honorariums

·         Fund Raising events
(i.e. Pancake Breakfast,
Sweetheart Dance)


Why is the Foundation Important?

As a member of the Prince George Community, you share with us a great sense of pride in the accomplishments of our county’s young people. Our schools have graduated students who have gone on to become leaders in their professions and outstanding examples that a quality education and hard work make a difference.

Today’s students are full of potentials to exceed the accomplishments of past generations. Resources to expand educational experiences such as fields of technology, sciences, mathematics, and career technical education, and other special activities are greatly needed to help many of our students realize their full potentials.

Who are the Foundation members?

The Foundation’s Board of Directors is composed of representatives from the Prince George School division, including the Superintendent, business partners, and the community.

This educational endowment provides a supplementary source of funding in addition to regular budgeted funds to ensure continued opportunities for educational excellence in Prince George County Public Schools.
