Project Always Beside You was started by a Gold Staf family whose son SSgt Christopher Diaz was killed in Afghanistan in September 2011. They started this organization because once they adopted his K9, they realized that medical expenses can be a huge burden on families. We provide medical expense assistance for all law enforcement K9s retired or not and military and/or Veteran service animals. We also will pay for euthanization costs for these brave animals. We also provide placement assistance for a service animal for our Veterans who suffer from PTSD. We are partnered up with a local animal shelter that provides the animals for us and a non profit organization from our amazing state of Texas provide the service animal training.
