Our mission...To raise the awareness of the community concerning the reality of hunger on a local level and around the world, and to permit and promote the opportunity of gathering food and monetary resources to be used in our own community in central Nebraska.

Project Hunger supplies bulk food and funds to local organizations such as: 
• The Grand Island Community Food Pantry

• The Salvation Army Kitchen

• Hope Harbor

• Crossroads Center Rescue Mission

• Nebraska Department of Health & Human Services

• Orphan Grain Train

We also provide a Sunday evening (an holiday meal) weekly at our local Salvation Army to fill the need of a community meal not otherwise being service on this day.  Each week, we send approximately 200 food backpacks home with local school students.
