Project SMASH of San Antonio, TX and Las Vegas, NV serves to motivate the community to live happier healthier active lives. We provide dance and fitness programs as a positive outlet for low income communities, children homes, and rehabilitation centers.
These programs aim to help the people we serve improve self esteem and confidence while reducing depression, obesity, and unproductive habits.
Our Goal
To provide dance, fitness, and educational programs as a positive healing outlet for shelters, children homes, rehabilitation centers, low income communities, and at-risk youth.
Our Vision
To expand our much needed dance to heal, fitness to heal, stockplayground hip hop dance and finance, and other similar Project SMASH programs to help improve self esteem and confidence while reducing obesity, depression, anxiety, and unproductive habits.
About Project SMASH
From an early age, Lisa (the Founder) believed in the power of dance in growing a person’s confidence and self-esteem. At 17, she was a single mom who wanted her daughter to experience the gift dancing gave her. Yet, it was a struggle finding classes she could afford.
After finding success starting SMASH, she remembered those experiences and wanted to give back. She established Project SMASH, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization committed to providing access to dance, fitness, and educational programs for those in need. With low to no-cost programs for the community, these people can have creative outlets that lead them to productive life choices.
Project SMASH also provides career opportunities through free instructor training & certification. To apply what the instructors learned, they are sent to local shelters, children homes, & rehabilitation centers. They are compensated for their time and gain work experience.
Project SMASH serves the communities of San Antonio, TX and Las Vegas, NV.
