Based in Hopedale, Project Smile is a nonprofit helping people in need through our two programs: Smiles for Children which provides donations of stuffed animals, books, coloring books/crayons for social workers and emergency responders to give to children who were victims of traumatic events and Suits & Smiles which provides job interview clothing for low income men seeking employment.
Smiles for Children has donated over 45,000 stuffed animals since our founding in 2003 and we partner with 200 police and fire departments throughout Massachusetts and across the country. We also partner with the Dept. of Children & Families and many homeless shelters.
We launched Suits & Smiles in 2020. The program partners with social service agencies to receive referrals for men who need job interview clothing. Many of the men who come to our program are recovering from addiction, refugees, new immigrants, disabled, recently released from incarceration or facing other barriers to employment.
