The PS11 Parent Teacher Association is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to enriching the educational experiences of all students who attend PS11, the Purvis J. Behan Elementary School. Located in the Clinton Hill neighborhood, PS11 is a school that has seen its population grow rapidly. Currently, our school serves approximately 900 students between pre-K and 5th grade with approximately 40% of the students qualifying for free or reduced school lunch. The PTA is governed by an elected Executive Board drawn from the parent and guardian community at PS11. The PTA's mission is three-fold: 1) To raise funds and achieve financial sustainability in support of school-based academic and enrichment programming, 2) To engage and build a cohesive student and parent body, and 3) To operate and manage a six-day-a-week after school and Saturday enrichment program for students. PS11 is currently ranked #1 in District 13 for its academic achievements.
