Shuang Wen School is New York City’s only Mandarin/English Dual Language public school from 3-kindergarten through Grade 8. The school is located in the Two Bridges neighborhood, between Chinatown and the Lower East Side. As a Title I school, more than 60% of students face hardships such as low income, yet the program consistently earns accolades for high academic achievement.
The Department of Education does not provide everything schools need, so your generous donation to the PTA is vital in helping us fund the following goals: Debate Club; Lockers for our Middle School; classroom support, including books, supplies, and materials for art and music programs; Health & Wellness, such as lice checks and replacement air filters; cultural access programs like Cool Culture; family engagements; and feeding Shuang Wen School’s amazing hard-working staff during late-night Parent Teacher Conferences.
