Our PTA's mission to support, reinforce, enhance, and promote our children's Spanish Immersion experience and overal education, health, and well being aims to be inclusive for all our 450 plus students from Bellevue, Renton, Seattle, Kirkland, South King County, and more as the needs of our educational staff and teachers.
Organization goals to help fulfill our mission as a PTA iinclude:
* Supporting core and supplemental programs and activities for a well-rounded education with an emphasis on Spanish language and culture.
* Providing a variety of community-building events, communications and volunteer opportunities to link families, school and the community.
* Advocating for members and groups in our Puesta del Sol community who face racism and inequality, through awareness and support.
* Advocating for programs and policies that nurture youth and education.
* Promoting inclusiveness within the diverse school community.
* Providing and managing PTA resources.
Our PTA bridge gaps and provide our vibrant, inclusive, and academically dynamic community of students with Spanish-speaking teachers’ aides, before & after-school programs, classroom supplies, curriculum enhancements, and many other exemplary experiences, helping to close the funding gap between State and local funding to support the unique education experience and needs for our students with the education and programs unique to our school that I mentioned above.
