In early 2009, a small group of business owners began talking about ways to support one-another. They recognized the need to have a supportive, collaborative group that brought together the dynamic mix of professionals from the various industries, vocations and trades making up the NECT business community. And it was in this recognition that they formed the Putnam Business Association, with the commitment to promote and publicize business and/or organization in Putnam, CT or which services the community of Putnam, CT through a unified advertising, public relations, and promotional campaigns to encourage the growth and success of all members of the Association. Today the organization has over 200 members and is active in adocacy, educational sessions, networking, and scheduling 10+ community events that are FREE and attract tens-of-thousandfs of visitors to northeast CT, supporting local businesses and restaurants.
In an effort to attract more visitors, the Putnam Business Association is proud to be the exclusive sponsor of “DiscoverPutnam”. DiscoverPutnam was created by and on behalf of PBA members to serve as an advertising and marketing campaign through which the community would gain increased exposure as a premiere tourist destination in Connecticut and New England.
