The purpose of the Pymatuning Valley Middle School PTO is to support the educatin of children at the Middle School by fostering relationships among the school, parents and teachers. Our PTO welcomes staff to school each year with Welcome Back bags, conducts a Bus Driver Appreciation Breakfast, hosts the Fall and Spring BOGO Book Fairs, Holiday Gift Shop and Valentine Flowers events, Staff Appreciation Luncheon, 8th Grade Brunch, Ice Cream Social for 5th - 7th graders, Honors Swim as well as other field trips and activities.
We plan, conduct and subsidize various major projects in the school that also benefit the community. Our recent accomplisments include purchasing laptops for classrooms, sound proofing panels for our gym, extra food appliances for our kitchen and students, purchasing and installing display cases for student art work, the purchase and installation of window shades, stage curtains and projection equipment to support our student presenters, creators, performers, and staff.
We enhanced COVID safety for our students and staff with picnic tables for outdoor seating and helped with the cost of concrete pad installation for our Laker Learning Lounge's Outdoor Space. We have brought in a special science teacher to work with our students, and funded numerous trips for our kids. We lead a variety of activities to enhance the educational experience for our students and support our staff.
