Quakertown Community Outreach is a local nonprofit 501(3)(c) corporation whose mission is to provide a network of resources, services and support to the homeless and at-risk of our community. We provide temporary housing, food, clothing, job searches and other basic necessities. We are a volunteer-run organization and rely entirely on donations and fund-raisers. The COVID-19 pandemic has created an increase in need in our community, and also prohibited QCO from holding the fundraisers we rely on over the past 24 months which has severely impacted our ability to continue our mission.
In over 6 years of operation, with the help of this community, our volunteers, and nearly 6000 Facebook followers, we have been able to provide hundreds of weeks of emergency housing, assist hundreds of families and individuals with food and hot meals, winter coats, utility bills, auto repairs, air conditioners, entry expenses for permanent housing, start-up household items, employment, transportation, access to medical care, Christmas presents, Easter Baskets, diaper drives and free access to professional mental health, addiction, financial counseling and life-coaching, amongst other services.
