Rady Children's Hospital Auxiliary, North County Unit is committed to support funding Rady Children's Hospital Child Life Services. Child Life Services relies solely on donations and provides psychological and emotional preparation to children and their families who are undergoing surgery procedures, medical tests and post-procedure support to promote healing, peer interaction, and independence to allow our children to return home as soon as possible.
Through our fundraising efforts, our Unit also provides new clothing for patients and families who arrive at the hospital's emergency department and snack bags during their waits. The Unit also sponsors a child at the Helen Bernardy Center, a skilled nursing facility for medically fragile children with multiple medical, physical and developmental delays. In addition, our Unit designates funding for Rady Children's Hospital's greatest needs fund so it can disperse funding to departments where needed.
We support Rady Children's Hospital's mission to restore, sustain, and enhance the health and developmental potential of children through excellence in care, education, research and advocacy.
