RCHS is a local, 501(c)(3) organization that supports, rescues, shelters, and adopts nearly one thousand companion animals annually. We serve community members, two legged and four, all over San Diego County, providing education programs, a safety net for pet parents in crisis, and more. We offer communtity programs including various youth programs, our Animal Safehouse Program, Community Pet Food Bank, Pet Assisted Therapy, Pet Loss Support Program, and numerious senior programs, offering a helping paw to those in need. We are also proudly part of the FOCAS program (Friends of County Animal Shelters), assisting various rescue organizations and county shelters who are facing overcrowding, lack of resources, and limited funding, by taking in and treating their animals in need. We are a BBB Accredited Charity, earning the Platinum Seal of Transparency from GuideStar, the highest level of recognition possible.
