The mission of the corporation is to help find a cure for cancer. To meet that end, the Corporation is organized to provide financial contributions to hospitals and charities which support research for a cure for cancer and to provide patient support to cancer patients and their families. This includes monetary support as well as emotional support.
Over the past seventeen years, the Foundation has raised over $500,000. The RWF has made contributions to The Methodist Hospital’s Cell and Gene Therapy Department, The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, the American Cancer Society, the MD Anderson Cancer Center, and supported other cancer-related efforts, including sponsoring a child with cancer during Christmastime to purchase presents for the family that couldn’t otherwise do so.
