Rebecca’s Dream, a 501(c)3 foundation with deep roots in our community, is a strong advocate against mental health stigma while educating to build the communities collective capacity for prevention and early intervention. RD develops and delivers awareness and educational programming, connects people to mental health services, provides resources through videos, podcasts and RD's website, and recognizes mental health leaders to encourage them to carry our mission forward. Rebecca’s Dream’s mission is to "promote awareness and compassionate understanding of depression and bipolar disorder as real diseases."

Rebecca’s Dream is committed to:

  • Educating and providing targeted programming to students and teachers in middle schools, high schools throughout Illinois and universities.
  • Awarding meaningful college scholarships to students that are making a difference in the mental health community. Available to all Illinois high school seniors.
  • Empowering Rebecca’s Dream’s thriving Junior Board and their signature campaign to support students ‘Compassion in, Stigma Out’ as well as speak about their personal stories to peers and the community.
  • Speaking as invited mental health advocates to audiences across Illinois.
  • Partnering with organizations such as Chicago singer and songwriter Nikki Lynette’s “Get Out Alive” program, University of Illinois student program, The Art Center of Highland Park, Steppenwolf Theater, Writers Theater, and Glencoe Family Services to expand our reach with enriched cultural events.
