We believe in:
Christian service to our community
A faith community that accepts you where you are but doesn’t leave you there
Christian worship that respects the traditional customs of the ancient Church while incorporating contemporary expressions of worship
Bible centered teaching and Gospel centered preaching
A balanced program of Christian education and social activities for children, teens and adults
Mission
To Know Christ and to Share Him with Others
We are a faith filled community that centers our life around the sacraments of the Church and we believe these sacraments strengthen and enable us to go forth to do the work that Jesus demands of us in the Gospels.
The form of a typical service goes back to the beginnings of Christian worship. The first part (the Liturgy of the Word) consists of hymns, psalms, Bible readings, a sermon and prayers. The second part is the Holy Communion, which has at its heart a reenactment of the Last Supper of Jesus with His disciples. All baptized persons are welcome to receive Communion.
Redemption Episcopal Church is committed to our children. This commitment is seen in the inclusion of children in Church activities and several programs designed for them:
*Sunday School
*"Youth Sundays" where children fulfill adult roles in worship
Redemption Christian Preschool
Owned and operated by the Church, our philosophy is to provide a quality academic program based on Christian values and beliefs. Each classroom is staffed with an experienced preschool teacher and an aide. Programs begin at 2 ½ years of age through age 5.
