Christ the King Secondary School’s Relay for Life is a student-led initiative dedicated to raising awareness and funds for cancer research, support programs, and those affected by cancer. Rooted in the school’s values of faith, service, and community, the event brings together students, staff, and local supporters in a shared commitment to making a difference.

Relay for Life serves individuals and families impacted by cancer by supporting national and local cancer organizations that provide research funding, patient services, and advocacy efforts. Through fundraising, participants contribute to life-saving treatments, patient care programs, and initiatives that offer hope and support to those battling cancer.

The event fosters a strong sense of unity and purpose within the school community. Participants engage in walking relays, symbolic ceremonies, and team-based activities that highlight the importance of perseverance, remembrance, and solidarity. By taking part in Relay for Life, students develop leadership skills, cultivate empathy, and take meaningful action in the fight against cancer.
