Hello,
My name is Dr. Jennifer Zale. I’m writing as an Associate Board member of Resilience Chicago, the largest Sexual Assault Crisis Center in the State of Illinois. Every year our non-profit cares for over 2,000 survivors. In addition to sending an advocate to the ER to counsel the survivor in medical and legal matters, we offer continued longtime support by providing medical and legal professionals for survivors as they heal and navigate the legal system. We also offer individual, group, art and dance therapy. All of these services are offered to survivors free of charge. I myself am a volunteer Crisis Counselor/Medical Advocate at Resilience. Over the past 10 months I have personally worked with over 25 survivors and completed 450 hours on-call as a Medical Advocate in the ERs of various Chicago hospitals. Thus, I understand firsthand the significance of Resilience’s work in the Chicago community. In addition to working with survivors, each year Resilience reaches around 3,000 individuals through professional trainings and 14,000 Chicago students through our preventative education programs.
We are hoping you will be able to offer us an item, package or experience to be auctioned off at our annual Evening of Impact Gala (black tie) which will take place on April 30, 2020 at the Radisson Blu Aqua Hotel. We will have over 1,000 guests and prominent guest speakers that relate to our cause. Your organization would be featured in the program on our list of donors and sponsors, and there would also be a space featuring the your organization in our silent auction area where potential bidders can learn more about your organization. Our Charitable Registration number is 36-3049386.
