Richardson Area Band Club is the non-profit booster organization for the Richardson High School Golden Eagle Band and the junior high band programs that join us once the students make it to 9th grade. As the band of a Title 1 school our organization is proud to say that we continuously have the lowest band fees in our district year after year, but that comes with a lot of unseen background work to reach out and secure donations so that our kids can continue to focus each day on learning and growing in their musical, academic, and personal lives. Our program starts with 6th grade band in the elementaries where students begin to play their chosen instrument and continues through 12th grade with marching band, four levels of concert band, jazz band, colorguard, and elective advanced music theory classes. In order to support all of these students we do everything we can year in and year out to provide scholarships to cover band operating fees during marching season so that students who need financial help only have to buy items they keep, such as their show shirt, shorts and shoes, and to help cover private lessons during concert season to ensure that each student who wants that one on one time with an instrument specific instructor is able to receive a weekly lesson at no cost to them.
