Knightsounds, a select vocal group from Ripon Christian High School, is comprised of students in grades 9-12. This auditioned group performs at community events such as Christmas tree lightings as well as providing vocal renditions of the National Anthem for school and community events and performing at retirement homes, churches and concerts. The students involved dedicate countless hours outside of the school day to practice and perform. Knightsounds receives no funding through the school and performs free of charge. Students are responsible for purchasing their own uniforms and paying for any travel expenses or competition fees. Our goal is to provide students with the life-long skill of music as well as infusing them with a desire to serve others with their musical gifts and abilities. Past Knightsounds members have joined college and community choirs as well as perform in local vocal groups and church choirs. This group has had the opportunity to participate in choral festivals, competitions and tour to various locations to sing for other communities. This donation will be used at our only fundraising event of the year and helps to defray the cost of music, and other expenses listed previously.
