The Richardson Independent School District (RISD) Council of PTAs serves as a Community Partner dedicated to fostering an inclusive educational environment that celebrates diversity and ensures every student feels valued, empowered, and a sense of belonging. Our mission centers around providing equal access to quality education and programs designed to enhance the educational experience for all students, regardless of their background or abilities.
Equity, Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging are at the core of our mission as we govern over 55 local unit PTAs within the RISD. We strive to create a more inclusive, welcoming, and accessible learning environment for RISD's 37,000 students, 19,000 PTA Members, and 5,700 Educators. Through inclusive programming aligned with our vision that Every child's potential is a reality, we aim to engage and empower families and communities to advocate for all children, demonstrating a commitment to social responsibility.
Contributions would directly support key areas of focus:
- Enhanced Events: Your generous donations improve events organized by underfunded PTAs, providing more engaging and enriching experiences, especially in STEM areas, for students and their families.
- Access to Resources: Donation dollars enable PTAs to access educational resources, materials, and tools that may have been out of reach due to budget limitations.
- Expanded Opportunities: With your support, PTAs can explore new event ideas and initiatives, broadening horizons for students and families.
- Inclusive Programming: By alleviating financial burdens, we ensure that every student, regardless of background, can fully participate in and benefit from events.
- Community Building: Stronger events foster unity and belonging within our school community, building connections among parents, teachers, students, and local businesses.

At the Richardson ISD Council of PTAs Inclusion Initiatives, our mission is to champion a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusivity within the Richardson Independent School District. We strive to remove barriers and create an environment where every student can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Through targeted programs, advocacy, and community engagement, we work tirelessly to ensure that all students feel valued, respected, and empowered on their educational journey.
