The mission of the River des Peres Watershed Coalition is to improve, protect, and maintain the River des Peres, its tributaries, and its watershed as a vital natural and cultural resource in the St. Louis metropolitan area.

We connect people to River des Peres, its tributaries and the watershed by engaging volunteers and communities to join in litter cleanups, water quality monitoring activities and habitat restoration. Our community outreach includes education on ways to improve the health of streams and advocacy for better water quality. River des Peres Watershed Coalition is a stream team association in St. Louis, Missouri with groups of stream teams that make a bigger impact by coordinating projects that improve the adopted streams in the watershed. Approximately 400 volunteers help River des Peres Watershed Coalition with these programs each year.
