The mission of Rivers of Hope is to provide a community coordinated response to end family violence through advocacy, education, and interagency collaboration. The organization serves youth and adults experiencing family, intimate partner, and teen dating violence in Wright & Sherburne Counties. Adult Advocates work with victim/survivors of domestic violence to safety plan, file protective orders, navigate the legal process, and empower them to find safety in their relationships. Youth advocates meet with students in school based settings to safety plan and talk about healthy and unhealthy relationships. Rivers of Hope also offers a survivor support group and presentations in schools throughout the community. In 2021 Rivers of Hope served approximately 200 youth and 500 adults. So far in 2022 Rivers of Hope has already served 250 individual adults and 90 individual youth and have provided approximately 1300 services.
