Rivers of Hope is a domestic violence center. Our mission is to provide a community-coordinated response to end family violence through advocacy, education, and interagency collaboration. Rivers of Hope provides free advocacy services to youth and adults experiencing domestic violence in our community.
Adult services offered include assistance with filing Orders for Protection and Harassment Restraining Orders, help with preparing for court and court accompaniment, safety planning, a weekly support group, and assistance with finding community resources. Youth services include 1:1 advocacy meeting with students experiencing family or teen dating violence and classroom presentations on healthy relationships. All services offered are free and confidential and have the goal of helping those experiencing domestic violence find safety from abuse.
Our event:
Rivers of Hope’s annual gala is our largest fundraising event of the year. This year’s theme is a Black and White Gala. The event will take place at The Crown Room in Rogers, MN. This includes a plated meal, a speaker, a variety of games, a silent auction, and a live auction. We are looking for items or baskets that can be used in our silent or live auction as well as gift cards that we can use as prizes for the games. 100% of the proceeds raised at the event go to providing advocacy services in the community.
