The Robert Benard Memorial Fund provides scholarships to deserving high school seniors in our community. It was established to honor Coach Rob, a youth multi-sport coach in Agawam. In its inaugural year (last year) the fund provided three (3) scholarships of 1, 000 dollars each to Agawam seniors that will be continuing their education in a four year program. The account is funded by an annual golf tournament, where we highlight donations and our community. The tournament is meant to create a day where Coach Rob is remembered fondly and we give back to the community. The fund also donates to the local youth football program to enhance equipment and character building programs. Lasy year the fund donated seven hundred and fifty dollars to the program.
