The Rochester Academy of Medicine is a community-based, collaborative organization comprised of inter-professional and inter-generational healthcare experts seeking to advance learning, encourage service, and initiate collaboration in the Rochester community. The Academy was organized in 1899 and, since 1939, has been operating out of the historic Lyon Home at 1441 East Avenue. The Academy has well over 600 members and offers continuing medical education services as well as hosting educational programs for providers and the public. In addition the Academy hosts events in the historic Lyon Home.
