The Rockdale VAPA Magnet PTA is 100% volunteer run and made up of parents, school staff, students, grandparents, relatives, friends and community members with a passion for enriching the elementary school experience of Rockdale’s student body through opportunities, awareness, encouragement and support.
Rockdale Visual and Performing Arts Magnet, is a Title I school grades UTK-6th grade. Title 1 is a federal education program that supports low income students throughout the nation. 46.55% of our students come from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. Our PTA unit strengthen the school-home connection, building community through shared ideas and work to provide the best public school experience possible.
Rockdale VAPA Magnet PTA connects families, schools, and communities by providing programs, services, and events at school. Our goal is to create equitable and inclusive programs and events. All of our events are free to attend and at most events we provide free food and refreshments. We create events and programs to celebrate different cultures and races. In late October we hold a Fall Festival and Dia De Los Muertos Celebration, in November we sponsor a Filipino art night with cultural foods, in February we sponsor Black Excellence Door Museum, in May we host a Rainbow Glow in the Dance party.
