The mission of Rocketown is to offer hope to the next generation through Christ's love. In a nutshell, Rocketown is a drop-in “student center” where marginalized teens and young people from low-income communities can find peace, purpose and possibilities away from the influence of gangs and drugs. Young people are attracted to Rocketown because of the free recording studios, indoor skatepark, coffee bar, music venue, block parties, and more. What they find is new friends, free mental health services, volunteer opportunities, nutritious meals and positive adult mentors to help to them thrive in today’s culture.
Comedy for a Cause is Rocketown's biggest fundraising event. The evening will include an elegant dinner, featuring a silent auction and a wonderful comedic performance. Funds raised at Comedy for a Cause will help to create a safe place for teens from all around Middle Tennessee to have a place where they are supported and loved.
