The mission of the Roslyn Elementary Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is to make our school the best place for students to learn and grow. We bring together teachers, parents, and students to raise funds and strengthen the school community. We use the money that we raise together to support our students and staff in a variety of ways.
The funds raised by the PTO is an important addition for the students and staff. Already this year, our PTO has purchased student folders and planners, crayons and other art supplies, Scholastic readers and library books. We sponsor our Reading Olympics teams and help provide equipment for Explorations (STEM) classes in our school. We also fund visits by an environmental education program provided by Briar Bush Nature Center.
We have provided funds for building enhancements, assemblies, and visiting authors. We give gift cards to teachers to fulfill their classroom wishlists and volunteer our time to aid in the classroom and during after-school activities.
The Roslyn Elementary PTO also hosts fun events for students, that are either free or low-cost, such as dances and picnics. We provide snacks for students during testing periods and on Field Day. We also provide treats or lunches for teachers and staff several times a year.
Any donation that you are able to give would help us support Roslyn Elementary School students and teachers, and would be greatly appreciated!
