St. Gabriel Parish is one of 22 parishes which remains in Western Delaware County and is the home parish to over 1,000 parishioners. Our mission is to “…seek to continue the mission of Jesus Christ by welcoming, supporting and guiding God’s family through prayer, sacramental celebration, service and education.” This is accomplished through various community events, fundraisers, and traditional religious practices.
Our parish provides community support, such as, a holiday fundraiser which gathers needed items for members of the local community, food cupboard, coat drive, host to NA meetings three times per week, NAR-ANON meetings, and a support group for grandparents raising their grandchildren.
St. Gabriel Parish also creates and encourages a positive community of growth for our local youth through participation in our diocese’s youth athletics program, youth ministry, and scouts.
We have also restarted many of our community events, which are open to everyone, not just members of the parish. The goal is to bring fun, entertainment, memories, and positive family experiences to those in our local community.
Our Christmas Festival (previously our Christmas Bazaar) is a tradition that has created countless memories in the past for generations. The festival consists of games for those of all ages, food and drink, pictures with Santa, Santa’s Secret Shop, and local vendors. Our goal is to provide priceless memories for the younger generations. We would be grateful if you would kindly help us make these memories.
Donors will also be acknowledged in our event program and in our Christmas Mass bulletin.
