Saint Xavier University established in 1846 initially serving as a higher education institution for women and the poor, today the four-year, private Catholic institution serves a diverse population of persons who seek a Mercy education that prepares them to become successful, productive and compassionate members of society.

Most students are first-generation college attendees whose families lack the financial means to support the cost of their education. Subsidizing the tuition costs for these students, enables them to complete their courses of study and graduate. An SXU education opens the doors to careers that will positively impact the lives of our graduates, their families, and their communities.
