Each year, The Salvation Army St. Charles County serves over 15,000 members of our community. We are committed to supporting our neighbors through essential services like emergency housing, groceries, warm meals, and a safe place to escape the cold during winter. While this is not an exhaustive list, it highlights our unwavering dedication to those in need.
As the cost of living continues to rise, we anticipate an even greater demand for our services in the coming months. The challenges of homelessness and financial hardship are not confined to St. Louis—they are present right here in our neighborhoods and on our streets in St. Charles County. Our efforts have already made a significant impact:
In 2023, we provided emergency housing to 108 people, including 59 adults and 49 children.
Our Dining Hall in St. Charles City feeds 1,200 to 1,500 people each month, serving over 13,000 meals in 2023.
We assisted 136 people with energy needs, but unfortunately, our funds were depleted by October.
We provided housing assistance to 68 people, but again, our resources were exhausted by October.
