Hello, I am Amy Dugelby, Director at The Success Center. We are part of Responsive Education Solutions and iSchool Virtual High School. We serve over 20,000 students in the state of Texas. Our goal at The Success Center is to provide educational tutoring services to those students that might be at risk of failing or not passing the State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR) tests. We target these at risk students to increase the overall graduation rate. While our physical location is in San Antonio, our students are located throughout the state.
Our mission is: “To provide quality tutoring support that will result in students achieving academic success. We put the needs and goals of each student first in all that we do.” We do this by providing individual tutoring services in state-tested subjects and hosting monthly events for students and their families.
We are looking to build partnerships with businesses by reaching out to the community to enlist your assistance in an effort to help our students achieve success this school year. Our goal is to keep our sometimes reluctant students coming to their tutoring lessons by offering incentives. This is where our community partners can really help!
We are seeking donations that will appeal to high school students such as: movie tickets, pizza gift cards, admittance to fun venues (skating, go karts, water parks, etc.), and any state-wide restaurant gift cards. We are trying to keep the students motivated to work towards their achievable goals.
As the Success Center continues to grow, we look forward to building partnerships that will aid us in providing the best service to our students!
