Mission Statement:“We will present high quality musical theater at affordable prices to Silicon Valley audiences to positively enrich people's lives, enhance the feeling of community and to help create a vibrant community filled with cultural opportunities which nurture artistic development and supports the diversity of our community members.”

Local community-driven theater enriches the lives of performers and audiences alike. It forges relationships and community that go beyond the stage itself making magical, musical moments happen.  Like many other theater groups, we are recovering from the losses we incurred during the and the pandemic we are now faced with smaller audiences as people slowly find their way back to the joys of live theater. Additionally, with rising costs and the professionalization of musicians means that we have to spend more money to do what we do for each show that we produce. Even in the best of times, our ticket prices do not cover the cost of our shows, so we rely on donations from groups such as yours who appreciate the value of live musical theater. Because of the higher costs for procuring rights, the more intricate sets and elaborate costumes as well as the larger artistic team needed to mount a full musical, our shows are usually much more costly to mount than a drama or a comedy. We are committed to providing amazing local performers the avenues to explore and fine-tune their musical theater skills and be a part of the special magic we create together and to providing musical theater to the community at family-friendly prices.   We are also dedicated to helping keep our community vibrant with live musical theater and to keeping those memorable tunes going in all of our hearts.

Some theater groups have switched to using "canned music" to avoid paying musicians. We feel strongly that our productions have a wondrous quality precisely because of our musicians. Whether a small or large pit band, they always knock people’s socks off. We value what live musicians bring to our shows and to you, and we also value the live musicians that have participated with us in order to bring a more complete and enriching experience. We use every dollar donated effectively and efficiently and we operate mostly with volunteers.

We were so pleased this year to present at the Hammer Theater Center, the innovative and powerful Godspell in the round, with storytelling enlivened by highly talented Bay Area actors and 4 Musicians, and to present the entertainingwith its’ 2 outstanding actors and 7 marvelous musicians. We want to produce great works like these that touch people’s lives.  We will soon be presenting a fundraising Auction and Concert, A Century of Broadway, 1900 - 1999.

We are also dedicated to helping keep our community vibrant with live musical theater and to keeping those memorable tunes going in all of our hearts.
